July 2018 Income Report

This month I definitely could have put more time into making money and self improvement, but, the unmissable fixtures in run up to The World Cup  climax and Scotland getting some genuinely nice, warm weather didn’t make it easy for me to grind out the poker volume and do those consistent workouts that I know I’m capable of.  Thankfully, despite not giving 100% effort or employing my free time as wisely as I could, monetary results  were far from poor.

To all those wondering about why there’s so much more hands played on USD tables than Euro tables it’s because there’s so much more games being played in USD than Euros or GBP on the pokersite that I play on. But, as I plan on soon putting more money on sites with more of a Euro market, that seemingly ridiculous ratio may drift closer in future updates.

There is also roughly $70 extra that I made from poker in rewards and bonuses this month. But, I am happy to just call the poker bottom line $5000 or £3811.40.  (August 1st 2018 exchange rates)

Other Income

Here’s the bottom line from my current side hustle, which I spend 60-90 minutes on each morning before I turn my attention to poker:

I will go into further detail about this little gold mine in a future post, but it’s certainly a much less stressful grind than poker. And it’s just great to have some easy, risk-free money coming in to mitigate the emotional pain that comes hand in hand with the inevitable downswings in poker.

They were also kind enough to pay me £40 for referring two friend in June which I received through my PayPal in early July

I don’t plan on tracking expenses on here as I don’t think that will be nearly as interesting as my profits, but I used most of that PayPal income I received on a new German sentence structure course to help me improve my German grammar!

Ignoring the horrible exchange rate, I think this a great deal. I’m trying to improve my German on my own everyday, and sentence structure is always such a big hurdle for myself and probably every other native English speaker learning German. I’m also a big fan of investing in products and courses that will help improve your skills. And I like doing it because I know that it works. I would not have made $5000 this month playing online poker if I had not previously spent money buying poker content that would help me improve my poker skills. I’m sure once I’ve completed this course the value I get from having an easier time conversing with German friends, as well as strangers will be well worth the £36.

Until next time, guys!
